Hold onto your leashes, readers! It’s been a whirlwind of a week here at HQ, and your favorite investigative hound has the full rundown on our latest excursions.
Last Sunday, we hit up Greenacres! It was a lovely warm day—some might say too warm, but a clever doggie like me knows exactly where the cool spots under the tables are. It’s the perfect vantage point, frankly; it gives me a great chance to catch passing doggs by surprise with a cheeky, sneaky bork from cover!

It was a bit of a tragedy, though—Uncle Ian (maker if Heavenly Cakes – nom nom nom) and Uncle Neil (master of the devine bork pies!!!1! nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom) weren’t there :-(. My snacking options were severely constrained, which is a professional hazard in this line of work. Still, it was a grand day meeting loads and loads of lovely people before finally heading home to the cats and my bed.
STOP PRESS: EXPLODING FOR BUSINESS!
Tuesday, we went out “exploding” for new business opportunities and trekked all the way to Oswestry. It was a long drive, so probably not a real prospect for the company, but the day turned into a total triumph on the way home! We dropped in on Auntie Julie!!111!1!!!1!! (I luvs Auntie Julie, everyone knows this).
We arrived right around George’s dinner time, which is always a bit nerve-wracking. George is a mahoosive Harris hawk, and let me tell you, he looks at me a bit funny sometimes—like he’s genuinely considering if I’d make a tasty snack!

But the real highlight? I finally got to meet this year’s kits!!!!!!! Yussss! I lub, lub, lubs me some ferrets!!11!!! I first checked in with Roman and Charlie (the elders, who know I’m a respectable professional), and then, on the way out, I got to see the babies! There were loads of them, and I made sure to give every single one a proper, loving lick. Just so they know I’m a friend and, more importantly, that I’m the one in charge of security.
After all that excitement, it was back to base for a proper duck on a stik and a well-earned nap.
