The Creative Visionary

Mary’s path to the jeweler’s bench is a story of discovery. Born in Dartford, her early career in stage management eventually shifted. A journey to Cambridge led her to the clergy. She served as the vicar of St. Paul’s in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. There, surrounded by metalworking tradition, she began investigating the beauty and properties of silver.

Since retiring from the church, Mary has made her home in the old Graig Fach Chapel in Machynlleth. She is a lifelong science fiction fan with a love for the steampunk aesthetic. Mary is the irrepressible creative force behind Jon & Mary’s. She is rarely found sitting still. She is constantly sketching, planning, and bringing new visions to life. For Mary, every piece of jewelry explores the intersection of ancient craft and imaginative design.
