🐾 DAY THREE OF THE MARATHON: Monday brought a most welcome operational adjustment—a bit of a lie-in! Because the Tywyn Monday Market starts a little later and is significantly closer to headquarters than Greenacres, we enjoyed a wonderfully leisurely 7:30 AM start.

Once the caravan was loaded, off we went to sunny Tywyn! On the grid, we set up right next to Olly’s mum and dad with their fantastic doggy stuff stall. It’s always excellent to have high-quality neighbours in the pet sector.

The New Merchandising Strategy: Displaying the Asset

For this deployment, the Board of Directors decided to trial a brand-new stall layout, specifically designed to optimize the visibility of the company’s greatest asset (me).

The setup: I was positioned right behind the middle table, sitting proudly on my Quilt No. 3, which was placed on top of a sturdy stack of Really Useful Boxes. This tower of plastic engineering happens to be exactly half a goggie leg shorter than the table itself. The result? Total tactical advantage. The peoples get to see me in all my breathtaking splendour the absolute second they cross the threshold into our stall!

From my new perch, I had a truly magnificent viewpoint to survey the passing hoards and direct the corporate strategy.

The Heatwave Slump

Unfortunately, the foot traffic was a fairly sparse crowd today. The blazing heat was clearly keeping the peoples away, which is fair enough, really. It was exceptionally hot under the canvas. To be completely honest, if we hadn’t been on duty at the market, I would have been firmly back at the ranch, sitting directly in front of my new best friend: the AIR CON beastie.

Despite the melting temperatures, it was still a good day. We met some very nice peoples, and I made sure to bork appropriately at some of the many dogs present to let them know who was running the venue from the top of the boxes.

Escaping the Heat

All too soon, the closing whistle blew and it was time to pack up the mobile boutique. To be perfectly fair to the hoomans, they are getting pretty slick at this logistics business lately. The pack-down went smoothly, and soon we were all jumping into the vehicle to head straight back to the ranch.

Waiting for me at home were Loki (the tiger), Alice, and my daily reward: D onna S!

(Editor’s note: Lol, the hoomans actually think I can’t spell it if they just use initials! Nice try, guys. I know exactly what it stands for.) šŸ¦†šŸ„¢

With my belly full of duck and the air con humming its beautiful, icy song, I headed straight to bed to rest up for the fourth and final day of this grueling tour.
